Sandwich Panel Roof Systems

Insulated sandwich roof systems with Polyisocyanurate Foam (PIR) or Mineral Wool (MW) insulation, combining the structural roof surface, thermal insulation and finished internal surface within one prefabricated element.

The upper steel sheet has a trapezoidal profile, with panel type, thickness and spans selected according to the project requirements and supporting structure.

Sandwich Panel Roof Systems

Fast Installation

Large prefabricated panels allow substantial roof areas to be installed quickly. Panel lengths are selected according to roof geometry, supporting structure, transport and site handling requirements.

Where practical, panels can be installed in a single continuous length, reducing the number of connections along the roof slope.

Panel Connections

Sandwich roof panels incorporate overlap connections in both directions.

Along the sides, adjacent panels are connected using a profiled side overlap.

Where more than one panel is required along the roof slope, panels are connected end-to-end using a longitudinal overlap. The extended upper profiled steel sheet of one panel overlaps the upper steel sheet of the adjoining panel.

For longitudinal overlaps, panels are supplied with pre-cut insulation in the overlap area. The insulation remains in place during transportation and is removed on site before installation, exposing the extended upper steel sheet required to form the overlap.

Fixings, sealing components and overlap details are coordinated as part of the complete roof system.

Complete Roof System

The scope can include roof purlins, sandwich panels, fasteners, sealing components, ridges, eaves, flashings, gutters, snow barriers, penetrations and other project-specific roof details.

Where the load-bearing steel structure and roof purlins are also within our scope, combined load calculations can cover the primary steel frame, purlins and sandwich roof panels, allowing spans, support spacing and structural components to be evaluated and optimised together.

Supply & Installation

The complete scope can cover technical coordination, supply and installation, from the supporting roof structure to panels and associated roof details.
